I bought my first coin book in 1988 and it was this very edition of Collectors Coins Great Britain. Strangely enough, I remember exactly where and when I bought it, and little did I know back then that one day it would be me writing the 32nd edition (and subsequent editions) of that book and publishing all the other Rotographic titles.
