Drop Shipping
If you run a physical (dare I
use the term 'Traditional') retail
outlet, like a shop of some kind then you won't sell many books
if you don't have any on your shelves or in the window!
However, millions of book are
sold each year without the customer being able to inspect them and
flick through them first. The fact that retail on the internet
is going from strength to strength (particularly with books) and
that mail order outlets are also
doing well, means that more than ever before, drop shipping is
becoming more popular and a pretty good way of doing business
for some retailers.
In case you're not aware, drop
shipping is the name given to a process something like this:
- Customer orders book and
pays the seller for the book and its postage.
- Seller gives customer
details to Rotographic and pays for the book, less 25% (and
postage)
- Rotographic send the book
directly to the sellers customer.
So, as a seller you never need
to hold a stock and you make a minimum of £1.57 for every book
you sell (based on 25% of the minimum book price, which will be £6.30 in
2013).
To register on the drop
shipping scheme or just to express an interest please enter your details here and someone will
contact you right away:
Further details:
New drop ship customers will be
required to pay for any books and postage up front before the
items are sent out. A direct bank transfer (BACS) is preferred
as payment method. Personal cheques are acceptable (bear in mind
this takes longer). For drop ship orders over £10.00,
paypal and credit/debit card is also acceptable. (Paypal and
credit/debit card is fine for all drop ship customers outside
Europe).
Rotographic will endeavor to
get deliveries to customers across Great Britain and Europe
within a maximum of 5 working days, and to customers in most
other places with good postal systems (USA, Canada, Australia,
New Zealand for example) in no more than 14 working days.
Delivery times are often quicker to the places mentioned above.
Other continents may take longer, but all orders will be
posted very promptly.
Rotographic will use the
details of the customer for the sole purpose of sending the book
to them, at no stage will the details of the customer be used
for any other purpose or passed on to any third party.
Hang on a minute..
